Perry was permitted to listen to music of any genre she liked by her friends, even in spite of her parents' preferences. She has always had a passion for music. She was a very outspoken individual who pursued her dream of becoming a musician. In the years before her first break, she faced several challenges. She did not receive success right away. The singer had to put several of her song on hold before being signed by 'Capitol Records. This was when her path as a musician took off. The next album, 'Teenage dreams' won the hearts of millions of music enthusiasts and went on to become one of the best-selling albums ever. The album was the catalyst for many record-breaking albums and cemented Katy Perry's place as a prominent artist. Perry has earned her name not only for her songs and recording them, but in addition for her charitable work as well, has a variety of interests. She's also a defender of homosexual rights.
