Lis Wiehl is an American lawyer and writer who was formerly the Fox News analyst.
She has been an adjunct law professor at New York Law School and was previously an Associate Professor at the University of Washington Law School. She's provided legal commentaries for National Public Radio and Bill O'Reilly's Radio Factor. She was a regular guest on The O'Reilly Factor, Your World with Neil Cavuto, The Kelly File alongside Megyn Kelly Lou Dobbs Tonight the Imus morning programs and is the host of the Legal Lis radio show and the Wiehl of Justice podcast.
Wiehl she was born and raised in Yakima within Washington State, graduated in Yakima in the state of Washington from West Valley High School. She graduated from Barnard College with a Bachelor's degree at the age of 33 in. In 1985, she was awarded her master of Arts degree in Literature at the University of Queensland. And in 1987 she was awarded the Juris Doctorate at Harvard Law School.
Wiehl worked as an attorney at the US Attorney's Office. She served as the legal correspondent for NPR All Things Considered. She was the Chief Investigating Counsel for the Democrats from the House Judiciary Committee, during the impeachment of Clinton. From 1995 to 2001, she was a tenured law professor of the University of Washington School of Law in Seattle and was in charge of the Trial Advocacy Program. She worked as an analyst for Fox News from 2001 until 2017.
